Resolved: Guest play and account creation work again. Our checks now watch that setting every ten minutes, and the games say in plain words when a sign-in is refused.
Identified: A sign-in setting had been switched off on our side. Guest sessions and new accounts were refused from about 12:44 pm Pacific.
Investigating: New players tapping Play as a guest or Create account got an error and couldn't start. Players already signed in were fine. We're looking into it.
